Tashan was one of those artists from the mid 80's to early 90's who didn't fit into the era. He was somewhat close to what people would label as neo-soul today. His first two albums Chasin A Dream and On The Horizon were released in 1986 and 1989 respectively, which were great album that didn't make noise in the world of R&B at the time. In 1993, He released his final album For Love's Sake including the first single "Love Is Forever" that went for a more New Jack Swing sound. Unfortunately, he didn't gain commercial success by going a different route, but this is definitely a hot song.
